The doctors from our clinic were invited to ISHRS Scientific Committee Poster Session with the presentation: “New Aspects in Secondary Scarring Alopecia Treatment”. The report systemized and analyzed our doctors’ long term successful experience in hair transplantation issues.
Notwithstanding the fast development and popularization of hair transplantation, the problem of hair transplantation in scarring areas still remains unexplored and scientifically unproved in many clinics in the world; correspondingly, they tend to get dissatisfactory results.
Our doctors’ presentation caused quite big interest among the leading specialists of the world, especially the high percentage of transplanted follicles viability. 94% is quite high result and in our clinic it is achieved through scientifically proven methods of hair transplantation in scarring areas. Stand-up Report Session chairman Robert Haber (USA) focusing on the absolute scientific innovations, pointed out that it was the first work to be presented, which compared the histological research results with the increasing number of grafts transplanted in scarring areas.
