On September 20th -21st, 2019 XIX session of the Union of Trichologists of Russia (President Spartak Kaiumov) was held. The leading surgeon of the clinic DeaMed, professor Aleksiy Makharashvili was invited to the conference. The session was conducted in the format of scientific-practical conference and multidiscipline trichology issues were discussed.
The first conference day was fully dedicated to trichology, and on September 21st Hair Transplantation Section was held moderated by Sergey Fiodorov. Master classes, discussing the effects of the endocrinal and gynecological problems on hair functions, were also conducted.
Aleksiy Makharashvili presented the results of his original research on increasing the effectiveness of hair transplantation, which deserved great interest among his colleagues.
The importance of coordinated work of transplantologists and trichologists in hair loss treatment was emphasized once more.
